What is hypnosis?

At its core, hypnosis is a natural state of focused awareness. You already experience it multiple times a day — when you wake up, drift off to sleep, or even when you drive home and realize you don’t remember how you got there. Watching a movie is a form of hypnosis, too. You know you’re seeing actors on a set, yet you laugh, cry, or even feel scared. That’s because hypnosis allowed you to be more suggestible — just like a great story draws you in, we can use this state to rewrite your own narrative.

What hypnosis is NOT:

Hypnosis is not what Hollywood makes it out to be. You won’t disappear into an alternate realm and return as a different person. It’s not mind control, and it’s not a truth serum. You can’t get stuck in hypnosis, and I can’t make you do anything you don’t want to do. I like to call it a “do with” process — not something done to you, but something we do together. Using guided relaxation and suggestion, we work with your subconscious mind to create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach

Hypnosis is a learning state, and since the subconscious mind doesn’t distinguish between fact and fiction, we can remove old beliefs and replace them with ones that align with the life you want — pointing you in the direction of your desires.

Traditional talk therapy works on a conscious level, but hypnotherapy allows us to reach deeper — where real change happens.

I like to think of the conscious mind as the head and the subconscious as the heart. My goal is to get them working together — because when they’re in alignment, transformation isn’t just possible—it’s inevitable. You get to be more of who you really are and live your most confident, authentic, and fulfilling life.
